The motto of Honey House Naturals® since their inception in 1994 is “Natural, Nurturing, Unique” and it remains the foundation of their product model today. Honey House Naturals is as unique in product as it is in its management and as a 100% woman-owned company, this says a great deal. The company embraces the purest values of skin care: integrity, purity, reverence and health.
The Honey House Naturals Story
The story of Honey House Naturals began on a farm near Puget Sound, Washington. The “Queen Bee”, Ruth Willis, began keeping bees to enhance the fruit trees in her family’s backyard orchard. Soon, the bees were producing honey which they sold at the local market, but Ruth felt that the natural bee products could be doing more.
In an effort to help a friend whose hands had become severely dry and cracked, Ruth created the very first Bee Bar, a concentrated lotion bar made of pure beeswax and healing emollients. After many years of success at local farmer’s markets, Ruth grew her family business into a worldwide specialty boutique.
Now, the Bee Bar, along with Belly Bars, lotion creams, lip butter, Honey Blossom Soap, room mists, candles and gifts are sold in specialty shops across the United States, Canada, and Britain and as far away as Guam – all of them still meeting the same high standards set by Ruth and her very first Bee Bar.
It is the mission of Honey House Naturals to create consistently pure, all-natural healing products in packaging that is both attractive and ecologically viable, while simultaneously providing the best in customer service.
Nature’s Remedy
Honey House Naturals takes pride in their stewardship of the environment. The company is committed to the conservation of natural resources, creating their products with wholesome ingredients either found in or derived from nature. They use only the very highest quality ingredients – no cheap fillers, always petroleum free and never tested on animals. In addition to the quality of their environmentally friendly ingredients, Honey House Naturals strives to employ reusable and recyclable materials in the packaging of all their products.
Honey House Naturals looks to ingredients such as beeswax, of course, but also shea and cocoa butters, royal jelly, jojoba, pomegranate seed and avocado oils and more to provide the most moisturizing, softening and repair capabilities as possible.
Beeswax locks in moisture, fosters cells and protects skin from damaging environmental factors. It is known to effectively soften skin and create a long-lasting protective coating against the elements. It also is a naturally nourishing moisturizer as well as being anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-allergenic and a germicidal antioxidant.
Extracted from the nut of the Karite tree in West Africa, shea butter offers high levels of natural anti-oxidants and essential fatty acids and is proven to be extremely effective for moisturizing and repairing damaged skin.
Similarly, the abundant anti-oxidants and Vitamin E found in cocoa butter help fight free radicals in your skin, keeping it younger looking. Native to the Americas and prized for centuries for its skin moisturizing abilities, it melts on contact and is easily absorbed into skin cells, keeping skin moist and supple. More stable than most other natural fats, it works wonderfully well for increasing the shelf-life of your natural products!
Royal jelly is a 100 percent natural product that is fed to the Queen Bee of the hive. It is commonly used in a variety of skin care products because it consists of mostly water, protein and sugars (fructose and glucose) and also includes healthy fats, salts and amino acids. The abundance of vitamins and minerals contained in royal jelly make it an excellent choice for natural skin care.
These products are chock full of beneficial oils, vitamins and minerals, only a few of which we’ve mentioned here. We’re proud to offer a full line of Honey House Naturals, from Belly Bars to soap and more!
